‘Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the U.S.-ROK Alliance’ Doosan holds a special ceremony to mark Veterans’ Month
The Doosan Bears hosted a Victory Circle ceremony at their game against the Hanwha Eagles on July 7 at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul, South Korea, in honor of Korean Veterans Month.
The event was organized by the Doosan Bears and the ROK-U.S. Allied Forces to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the U.S.-ROK alliance and to honor the dedication of U.S. military veterans who fought in the Korean War.
Colonel Chad Loerman, commander of the 2nd Strike Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, U.S. Forces Korea (USFK), laid the ceremonial wreath, Lieutenant Colonel Hyun Chul Kang, commander of the Buyeo Corps, laid the wreath, and Master Chief Petty Officer Raymond Layton laid the ceremonial gun.
“It was an honor to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the beautiful Jamsil Baseball Stadium on the 70th anniversary of the U.S.-ROK Alliance,” said Brigadier General Chad Loerman. It was a fantastic experience. I hope the relationship between the U.S.-ROK alliance remains strong.”
