‘Kamada instead of Lee Kang-in?” Romano “Verbal agreement with AC Milan completed…medical in a week”

Daichi Kamada enters the San Siro stadium.

European soccer transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano took to social media on Monday to shed some light on the Kamada and AC Milan transfer saga. “A verbal agreement in principle has been reached. Kamada chose AC Milan among several offers. The contract is valid until June 2028 and, if all goes according to plan, the medical will take place in seven days.”

Kamada came up through the ranks at Sagan Dossu in Japan before moving to Frankfurt in Germany in 2017. After a loan spell with Belgian side Sint-Truiden, he earned a regular starting spot. In the 2020-21 season, Kamada proved himself with 18 offensive points (5 goals, 13 assists) in 32 Bundesliga games with just over half the season remaining.

The same can be said for European competition. Last season, Frankfurt were crowned UEFA Europa League (UEL) champions. Kamada played every game from the group stage to the final, anchoring the midfield. His versatility in the center and on the flanks, as well as his ability to play in the second and third positions, made him a very versatile player. He was a key contributor to Frankfurt’s victory 먹튀검증.

The stellar performances continued. Kamada racked up 23 attacking points (16 goals, 7 assists) in 46 games across all competitions this season, including the German Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League (UCL), and DFB Pokal. His price tag, which was €8 million three years ago, has skyrocketed to €30 million ($42.7 billion). The interest in Kamada has been intense.

Naturally, transfer speculation has been rife. His contract with Eintracht Frankfurt expires this summer, so he would not have to pay a transfer fee. More recently, he’s been linked to Napoli.

Amidst all this, Romano explained that AC Milan are on the verge of signing Kamada. He is confident enough to claim a specific contract length and a date for a medical.

AC Milan could see loanee Brahim Diaz leave. The club has been linked with the signing of Lee Kang-In, but it is expected that Kamada will be brought in to bolster the midfield.
