‘Kim Min-sung’s final man-ruffle poem’ LG beats SSG to take sole lead
In the Korean Baseball Organization, LG defeated SSG to take sole possession of first place. Veteran Kim Min-sung led the way with a game-winning home run.

As befits a matchup of the No. 1 and No. 2 teams, SSG struck first with a solo home run by Choi Ju-hwan in the second inning as a crowd of more than 40,000 visited Landers Field for the first midweek game.
LG then responded with a run of their own.
With two outs in the fourth inning, Lee Jae-won tied the game with a bases-loaded walk, then Kim Min-sung blasted a grand slam over the left field fence to put the game out of reach.
With momentum on their side, LG followed up Oh’s RBI single in the fifth with two more runs in the seventh to drive a wedge.
Coupled with starter Lim Chan-kyu’s six innings of one-run ball, LG defeated SSG 9-1 to take sole possession of first place.
Doosan beat Samsung 7 to 5.
Jang Won-jun, making his first start in three years, pitched five innings of four-run ball to record his first win in five years and reach the 130-win plateau.
Kiwoom defeated KT 3 to 1.
Chung Chan-heon earned his first win of the season with six shutout innings.
Hanwha used a six-run first inning to defeat KIA, and Lotte, led by Na Kyun-ahn’s six-hit shutout, swept NC 2-0.
