Korean badminton team beats Malaysia to advance to Sudirman Cup finals for the first time in 6 years
Korean badminton reached the final at the 2023 World Mixed Team Championships (Sudirman Cup) after 6 years.
Korea defeated Malaysia 3-1 in the semi-final match held at the Olympic Sports Center in Suzhou, China on the 20th.
With this, Korea succeeded in advancing to the final six years after winning the championship in 2017. It is the 5th championship challenge in total. In this biennial tournament, Korea was satisfied with the quarterfinals in 2019 and third place in 2021.
Korea competes for the championship on the 21st with the winner of the semi-final between Japan and China.
