Oh Hyun-gyu “Heung-min asked me a lot of questions about the director of Postecoglue”

South Korea international striker Oh Hyun-gyu (22-Celtic) has revealed that he has had conversations with his seniors Son Heung-min (31-Tottenham Hotspur) and Angie Postecoglou (58-Australia) about the new Tottenham manager.

Oh, who was called up to the national team for two June A matches (Peru on the 16th and El Salvador on the 20th), held a press conference in front of Gudeok Stadium in Busan, where the team trained on the 13th.

He said, “Whether I play one minute or 90 minutes, I will always do my best. I will show my 100 per cent,” he said.

“I wanted to play so badly at the World Cup in Qatar,” he said, adding, “I’m a player who hasn’t played on the pitch and I feel even more hungry. If I go to the Asian Cup, I want to make the moments I have been dreaming about a reality.” 메이저사이트

During the interview, Oh was asked if he had spoken to Son about Postecoglou’s time at Celtic. Postecoglou, who led Celtic to a triple (League, League Cup and Scottish Cup) in the 2022-23 season, officially joined Tottenham this month.

Oh, who joined Celtic from Suwon Samsung in January, scored seven goals in the half-season under Postecoglu’s guidance.

“Heung-min asked me a lot of questions (about Postecoglou),” Oh said, “like what kind of style he has, what he emphasises, and so on.”

“To be honest, I’ve only been with him for half a year, so I don’t know him in depth, but he’s a tactically brilliant man. I believe he will be successful (at Tottenham).”
