The Daily Star recently reported that “Tottenham are closing in on a move for Topsovic. Tottenham and Leverkusen have reportedly held talks over a £25 million fee for Topsova. Another center back being linked is Wolfsburg’s Mickey van der Vaart.
The publication also revealed the expected squad for the 2023-2024 English Premier League (EPL) season opener against Brentford. Postecoglou is expected to stick with a 4-3-3 system at Spurs.
In goal, Vicario and ‘backup’ Fraser Forster are named. The right fullbacks will be Emerson Royal and Foro, the left will be Destiny Udoji and Ben Davies, who are returning from loan, and the center backs will be Christian Romero, Topsoba, Van der Vaart, and Eric Dier.
In midfield, Maddison will be joined by Ebbs Bissouma, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skip and Pape Sarr. Rodrigo Bentancur, who is making progress in his rehabilitation after cruciate ligament surgery, will need more time to return.
